Avianca is the second-oldest airline in the world and the oldest in the Americas.

It was founded just a few months after KLM and began operations connecting Colombian cities. Avianca is known for its innovation, being one of the first airlines to implement electronic ticketing. Today, it is a major carrier in Latin America.
