These stairs are actually so scary that they have been banned, as in no one is allowed to use them anymore.

This rickety set of 3,922 stairs leads half a mile up Oahu’s Koolau Mountain Range. These stairs were actually contrasted in 1942 by the U.S Navy as a means to install communication wires and were nicknamed the “Highway to Heaven”. Daredevil hikers quickly discovered them after WWII and started to climb them for their incredible views.
