Boiling Lake in the Caribbean island of Dominica is exactly as it soundsβit’s a constantly boiling lake. Located in Morne Trois Pitons National Park, this natural wonder is heated by volcanic activity beneath the surface.
The water temperature is so high, ranging from 80Β°C to 100Β°C (176Β°F to 212Β°F), that falling in would be fatal. Visitors can hike to the lake but are advised to stay at a safe distance to avoid the scalding steam and slippery rocks.
