Boiling Lake in the Caribbean island of Dominica is exactly as it sounds—it’s a constantly boiling lake. Located in Morne Trois Pitons National Park, this natural wonder is heated by volcanic activity beneath the surface.
The water temperature is so high, ranging from 80°C to 100°C (176°F to 212°F), that falling in would be fatal. Visitors can hike to the lake but are advised to stay at a safe distance to avoid the scalding steam and slippery rocks.
More people have asked us to feature allora than any other word so far. Probably because you've heard it in just about every other sentence uttered by Italians.
