North Sentinel Island is home to one of the last uncontacted tribes in the world—the Sentinelese people. They have lived in isolation for thousands of years and reject all contact with outsiders. Visitors are not welcome. In fact, they have attacked and killed people who tried to land on the island.
The Indian government has banned travel within several kilometers of the island to protect both the tribe and outsiders. This is one place where setting foot can cost you your life.
