At Spello, you don’t have to sit hour’s long ride to Pompeii to see Roman arches.

The Consular gate (Spello’s entry gate) was built in the first century and connected to the Roman Highway via Flaminia.

This 13th-century structure is rumored to be built over a temple dedicated to Juno and Vesta.  Here, tourists can find the Baglioni chapel (preserve the frescos of the famous Italian artist Pinturicchio).

Speaking of flowers, Spello hosts their annual Le Infiorate festival, aka their flower festival that takes place on Sunday after Corpus Domini. If you ever got a chance to visit Spello don’t miss attending this festival.
