Earthquake in the province of Rome shortly before 10:40 o’clock this night. Distinctly felt in the capital has been calculated in a magnitude of 2.9R.
According to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics, the quake measured 2.9R and the epicenter in the Latina area (near Sermoneta) in Lazio, 15 kilometers deep.
The earthquake was distinctly felt in the capital, in particular on the southern and eastern outskirts of the city, and in the territory of the Roman Castles.
No damage has been reported so far. Fire service said it had not received any requests for emergency rescues but was preparing ground teams as a precaution.
