Rome Airport as Fiumicino has achieved a new record for the quality of its services, with a score of 4.46 out of 5 scale set by Airports Council International (ACI).
The result marks the best ever quarter for Fiumicino and puts it in the top hub in the western-world for passenger satisfaction, beating all American and European airports with more than 40 million passengers.
Among Fiumicino’s services most appreciated by passengers are the electronic gates (e-gates) as well as the airport’s general comfort, staff courtesy, clarity of public information, and waiting time at security checks.
The recognition for Rome’s main airport is the latest in a string of awards for Fiumicino which earlier this year was rated Europe’s best airport with over 25 million passengers, for the second consecutive year.
