Wine might not necessarily be the first drink we think of when it comes to China, with both beer and baijiu being enormously popular in the People’s Republic. Wine consumption did drop by -17.4% between 2019 and 2020, largely as a result of the country’s rigid lockdowns, and by a further -15.4% in 2021.
