Though not a city, Oymyakon deserves a mention as the coldest inhabited place on Earth. Located in Siberia, this village sees temperatures drop to an incredible -60°C (-76°F) in winter. Despite the extreme conditions, about 500 people live here, surviving on traditional diets and relying on wood and coal for heat.
