Why It’s the Worst: Unreliable water quality and pebble-covered shorelines.
The beaches near Lima, Peru, are not your typical tropical dream.
Instead of soft sand, most of Lima’s beaches have rocky shorelines, which can make sunbathing uncomfortable. The water quality can also be inconsistent, with pollution from nearby urban areas affecting the cleanliness. Although these beaches have a unique charm, they don’t offer the relaxing experience many seek on a beach vacation.
What to Expect: Pebbly shorelines, possible pollution, and unpredictable conditions that may not be ideal for swimming.
