2Kamilo Beach, Hawaii, USA

Why It’s the Worst: Known as “Plastic Beach” for a reason.
Kamilo Beach, located on Hawaii’s Big Island, is a prime example of how pollution can ruin a natural paradise.

This beach is notorious for being a gathering spot for ocean debris, especially plastics that wash ashore from the Pacific Ocean. Although Hawaii has countless stunning beaches, Kamilo Beach is not one of them. Waves bring in large amounts of plastic waste, creating a shoreline where debris outnumbers sand grains in some spots.

What to Expect: Plastic debris scattered across the shore, little space for relaxation, and very few visitors due to its unpleasant environment.
