A maximum peak of 140 centimeters is forecast for 8:45, 59% of Venice will be underwater. This maximum will be followed by a new peak at 9:35 pm of 115 centimeters.
The sum collected so far through the donation number 45500 in support of the City of Venice, amounts to € 486,058. The funds raised will be transferred by the operators, without any charge, to the Department of Civil Protection.The allocation of the sums, the Department ensures, will subsequently be evaluated by a specially established Guarantor Committee. To donate there is time until December 14th, by sending a text message in solidarity or making a call from the landline to 45500 through the telephone operators.
