Woman was Rescued from her flooded Car as Heavy Storms Hits Abruzzo, Italy

Chieti, October 22 – A man dived into a rain-flooded underpass and saved a woman driver from drowning in Abruzzo on Monday.

Luca Ortu, 45, from Alghero in Sardinia, said “I realised that she couldn’t wait.
“I don’t feel like a hero even though it seemed like I was watching a film,” she said.Ortu spotted the woman banging on the windscreen of the submerged car at Francavilla al Mare near Chieti on the mid-Abruzzo coast.
